Collection Lambert en Avignon
The Collection Lambert en Avignon is devoting a solo exhibition to the American artist Roni Horn, bringing together three decades of creation, more than 120 artworks, photographs, sculptures and drawings most of which have never been exhibited in France. With the title of her exhibition, Roni Horn aka Roni Horn, the artist confirms the obvious duplicity in all her work, in which the double, the feminine and the masculine, the living and the inert become one. Everything is in opposition in these ambivalent works, imbued with the artist’s lengthy trips to Iceland, this island that has became the artist’s open-air studio.
The exhibition has been organized by the Tate Modern, London, in association with the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and will be seen in autumn in the United States (Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston).
Four photographic series will also be presented in conjunction with the Rencontres Internationales de la photographie, Arles
